| Message: | Salaam, I think these free videos online are a great idea. it really reflects your openness. Many groups charge for ticket prices and then sell you the video or audio - but you guys made this amazing event totally free and then publish the videos for free. SubhanAllah may Allah reward all your efforts. Keep up the good work, and InshaAllah the future will be BRIGHT!!! | |

| Message: | Having a sister on stage was so inspiring. Sabin Malik made a very powerful impact to me and Swansea - we need to have more public sister speakers and not let the men decide everything for us. Sabin is 100 percent correct, that we need women in the Mosque management but I think the men are too scared that we will end up making the mosque more productive and welcoming to everyone ( ...and that we’ll take away their crown jewels or something ). | |

| Message: | Salaams all MashaAllah the day was well organised and the speakers and performers were very informative, may Allah reward them for their efforts. Furthermore it was refreshing having a diverse panel of speakers. I particularly found the talk delivered by Ajmal Masroor was full of great insight and personal experience which certainly echoed through to the hearts of all that were there. It was inspiring to hear the perspective of Sabin Malik also. A great role model for all not only women. The chair, Yaseen Akhtar done a great job yet again in keeping the day running according to schedule. His innovative style of hosting put a smile on everyones faces. Having to travel from Gloucester, the hospitality extended to me by the Brothers that organised the event was very well received indeed. May Allah give them the ability and patience to organise many more activities. | |

| Message: | SMYLe keepin Swansea smiling again!!Mashallah, very well organised event and professional. Muslim and the word professional don't normally go together, but SMYLe somehow seem to have done it again. Excellent event, Br Mansoor was very inspring. Nice to see young british Muslims at the forefront, and also who can relate to the youth. Bit dissapointed that SMYLe didnt organise a Family BBQ this summer like last year, my family enjoyed it very much. But I guess they did take on alot this summer. SMYLe Making Swansea Proud. I have heard a lot of other cities in the UK talk about SMYLe or know about SMYLe. May Allah help you guys to continue the good work. Ameen. Ma' Salaam | |

| Message: | Me n ma cousin Luvd it. It was an awsom evnt. I really came 2 watch Nazeel perform. I didn’t know who Ajmal Masroor was, but man was I impressed. What an Imam. These so called scholars in UK can learn a lot from this guy. After hearing him I now believe the future really is bright. Oh yea, Nazeel and Sabin Malik was awesome too. Finally Swansea is comin out of cave age and doin wot ada cities hav been doin for years. All thanx to SMYLe and all da organisers. Pls do not let N E 1 put u guys off. Amazin event. May God reward u all. May God protect Masroor an pls bring him back to Swansea. Oh, does u think u could put his talk on da website for adas who cudn’t attend. An wot is this Amed guy on abot. I did google search ‘fatwa on music’ an found out that the few scholars who do say music is haram use either ambiguous or inauthentic evidence to say this. But I respect their views an Amed shud not force it on others. I can’t imagine Swansea without Smyle. This summer wud hav been boring without smyle, The fashion show, Napoleon event, and the finale – this event. V impressed. Everi body inda haws kip Smyle ing :) | |

| Message: | The event was FAB-E-LUSH!!! I’ve been 2 few ada Islamic events but they are all jus a bore, whereas in this 1 I was actually awake and enjoyin myself. The dude that was introducing the speakers was very good and his txt yaseen idea was original and excellent idea (shame abut all the lame jokes ppl txted him). the sister was very clear and precise - its good 2 see muslim women taking lead and not just sittin at home (or being forced to sit at home). I wud like to see more sisters like her and more shud come to Swansea. Its amazing she came all the way 2 swansea with her kids just so we can benefit from her knowledge. Imam Ajmal Masroor – well where do I start, he was just purely amazing, never seen such a down to reality imam in my life. Wish we had Imam Ajmal is Swansea or n imam like him. like he said the future is bright if we STOP COMPLAINING, so for all those whining this event was not Islamic???? (post edited by TFB Team – pls control your anger) DO YOUR OWN EVENT.!!! Nazeel n his songs were amazing, nxt time u guys shud book liberty stadium – yay. Oh and the Cardiff muslim videos were hilarious, maybe Swansea shud do some aswell now – eastside, westside to the middle-eastside… finally all respects to the organisers, u guys did a lot of hard work and may we see more events like this one soon. | |

| Message: | Edited by TFB Team, brother we respect individuals to have their opinion and we encourage everyone to do their own research and come to their own conclusion regarding ALL matters of life. They can do so by google search (as you advised), asking scholars/imams in person (for their opinions), books etc… We also encourage everyone to create their own web site/organise thier own events that portray and support their views. However I’m sure you understand we cannot allow links on our website that basically ‘claims’ that our event may not have been Halal. If that is your view we respect it as your individual opinion, but as organisers we sincerely believe it was a Halal and a beneficial event, which is supported by the numerous feedback we have received from the event. Jazakhallah for your understanding |

| Message: | i like this website, video and flyer design, and from what i’ve seen i'm sure the event be truly remarkable inshaAllah. however (not that I have a problem with outlandish, as mashaAllah they are gifted with great musical talent) since nazeel will be performing on the day maybe the trailer video should have used a track by nazeel as he is equally gifted. this would have helped those not familiar with nazeel's islamic music to get a flava on what to expect on the day. of cos they can easy goto nazeel’s personal site to hear the samples if they so wished. Keep up the good work. | |

| Message: | As-salaam, Islam is different to some other religion as its encourages people to question and not follow things blindly. Sadly over centuries Islam has been turned into a bunch of dont without people questioning why. People forget Islam has always encouraged all good forms of art including music, some even say that the modern day guitar was an invention from the Muslim world??? There are also historic evidence that support the theory of the basic scale in music today (do, re, mi, fa, sol, la and ti) comes from Arabic syllables / alphabet ( Dal-Ra-Mim-Fa-Sad-Lam-Sin). Whilst there are understandably a difference in opinions surrounding music in Islam - this does not indicate it as Haram. Please email us directly for further clarification and we can forward you with more information. For further reading we would advice to study Shaikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi's well-known book, "The Lawful and the Prohibited in Islam" who is amongst many prominent scholars who conclude that music is permissible under the condition that it not be in anyway obscene or harmful to Islamic morals. If you have questions specific to Nazeels halal music then please feel free to contact him directly via his personal site. Please remember that if the content of any conversation (inc music) is sinful then that conversation becomes sinful. If the content of any conversation (inc music) is good then it is permitted. Please feel free to raise the question regarding Music to our speakers during the Q&A session on the day. Thank you for your post, was-salaam TFB Team |

| Message: | Asalamu-Alikum! I read heard that music is haram? What is your response to this? Also, regarding this matter, I think it would be a good idea to have another section regarding music.Init include the opinion you follow and the other opinions that you have received, and other opinions which are out there. That way, brothers and sisters can choose to follow what they themselves think is the strongest opinion. Jazakallah Khair. | |
